If you want to find parents for Individual X, you will need to know 3 things about Individual X.

  1. Individual X’s complete name.
  2. The date (at least the year) of an event in the life of Individual X.
  3. The location (place) of that event.

If you want to find a spouse of Individual X, you will need to know 3 things about Individual X.

  1. Individual X’s complete name.
  2. The date (at least the year) of an event the couple shared (e.g. the marriage date, the birth of a child, or a census record between 1850-1940) .
  3. The location (place) of that event.
